Charity Support My main charity support is for the Elizabeth Foundation. This is a charity that is set up to help very young deaf or hearing impaired children and their families to be able to communicate. The Foundation relies on donations to be able to do their work, and provide a valuable service. I am not going to go into too much detail here, you can use the link below to go to their web site to get loads of information on the valuable work that this wonderful charity provides. As you know, communication is such a valuable and important part of everyday life. It is difficult to teach young children some things, and to be able to communicate with reduced or no hearing is even worse. You cannot imagine the frustration of not hearing something that is important. Its bad enough for adults in this situation. At least with adults we have various other means of communication, but a young child does not have such a wide range of methods and has to be taught. This is where the Elizabeth Foundation comes into its own. The people at the Foundation take the children into their arms and teach them, and provide assistance to the family too. It is frustrating for all concerned in the family environment when the communication is difficult. The Elizabeth Foundation really help to reduce the problems there, and as the family learns new methods of communication and becomes more versatile, things get better.
