Tweek Your Computer Are you running programs like Office 2007 or others that tend to be memory hungry? Is your computer running a bit slow and becoming unstable because of it? Does your machine freeze when you are half way through something, ending up with you having to do all that work again? Maybe its time to try a very simple little solution that works really well. Process Tamer is a brilliant little program that sits quite happily down next to the clock on your computer. It actually controls the priority of the programs running on your machine at the time, changing things as needed - or how you have set them, completely automatically and runs quite happily making adjustments when necessary. It makes a huge difference when you are running large packages and also helps with the stability issue when you are working with large files too. Take a look for yourself. Untidy Desktop and Cant find that file Is your desktop cluttered with loads of icons (which takes up memory and slows the computer down), and are you considering removing some of them and worried that if you do, you won't be able to find that program again? OR have you been looking for a file and have no idea where to find it? Well, maybe this program will help you. The program is called "Find and Run Robot". It is fully customisable, and if you are going to use it to find files you will need to change the depth of search (which does slow it down a bit but it is still effective). When you use this program, you start to type in the name of the program and it will search your machine for it. It displays the first 10 matches and then does a search for anything else that is similar. It is extremely easy to use and very versatile. When I put this on my computer I deleted most of the icons off my desktop. I originally had about 100 and now have about 6. This has made a significant difference to my memory usage and the speed of my machine. It will do the same for you. It does not even slow down your normal usage of the machine.
